By recycling coffee grounds and recycled aluminum from coffee capsules, Nespresso joined hands with ASH to launch limited edition environment-friendly sneakers
Recently, Nespresso Espresso Coffee and Italian luxury fashion brand ASH jointly launched two limited edition environmental protection sneakers made of Nespresso recycled coffee capsules. Based on the common pursuit of a sustainable future, cooperation between the two sides emerged at the historic moment. Based on the Nespresso coffee capsule recycling project, the two sides jointly explore more possibilities for the combination of fashion trends and sustainability, and awaken new inspiration for the green future.
The two FORWARD and RESTART limited edition fashionable sneakers launched in this cooperation are made of the coffee dregs recycled from Nespresso espresso coffee on the sole and insole, and the labels on the tongue are made of recycled aluminum from recycled coffee capsules, so that the recycled coffee rubber bags can be recycled through creativity and technology. The common chrome free leather and recycled PET materials of RE/ASH series are also used in the products, which will further reduce the waste of raw materials and reduce the impact on the environment. In addition, the color matching and pattern design of four representative Nespresso coffee capsules are integrated into the design of the two sneakers to create unique visual inspiration.
Each pair of FORWARD fashion sneakers contains coffee grounds from about 7 cups of coffee and recycled aluminum extracted from about 13 recycled coffee capsule shells. The color matching of FORWARD fashion sneakers is inspired by Nespresso Buenos Aires large cup coffee (silver) and Coase coffee (taupe).
The design of RESTART fashion sneakers is a bold interpretation of ASH’s iconic avant-garde style. Each pair of RESTART fashion sneakers contains recycled aluminum extracted from about 15 cups of coffee grounds and about 10 recycled coffee capsule shells. The color of RESTART fashion sneakers is inspired by Nespresso Shanghai Big Coffee (red) and Cabbage European Coffee (green).
